Bio

I have a BA from NYU in mathematics and political science and a PhD in Economics from MIT. I was involved for 10 years in securities litigation expert witness work in NYC, and for the past decade, I’ve run a company I co-own called Learning & the Brain, which provides professional development for K-12 educators through the creation of education conferences, one-day seminars, and summer institutes. Through my work, I’ve come to know many renowned thought-leaders and experts in education from around the world.

I was born and raised in Queens, NY and my wife and I moved to New Canaan 9 years ago with our 3 small children. We were attracted to this town for many reasons, but excellent public schools were our top reason. We feel lucky to be part of this great community. Since moving here, I’ve been active with the New Canaan Newcomers Club, the YMCA Adventure Guide for eight years, and coached soccer for the town Parks and Recreation league. Through my position on the New Canaan Republican Town Committee for the past 2 years, I’ve had the opportunity to meet people who are active in town government, and I’ve developed an appreciation for, and understanding of, how this town functions.
